As a late Christmas present Avi decided that she was sick & tired of "scooting" around. So, the day after Christmas she just stood up & went for it. She hasn't stopped walking since. Yeah Avi!!!

Jolly...Don't Ya Think?
Beckham was so excited to go to the mall & see Santa. Quinn had told him earlier in the day that we could go, so of course that's what we heard about ALL DAY! Just our luck as soon as we got there Santa was going on break for an hour. So we went on a little train ride that went around that went in very small circles & had a cheese on a stick...what more could you ask for-the North Pole in a Food Court! That's my idea of Christmas! I don't really think the picture does the moment justice. Beckham really was very excited. He hopped right up and told Santa just what he wanted--"A Backyardagains toy & A motorcycle!" Of course, what else. Oh, & sissy wants a doll. Cause she's a girl. Overall, it was a really fun time!

Beater Buddies
This last week my sister-in-law & her little girl Oakley came over to play. The night before I found a cookie recipe that I had kind of forgotten about. The kids had a great time licking the beaters. Who needs a dishwasher! Anyway, they aren't very Christmasy I know, but I love them & thought that I would share!!!

Call of the Day!!!
At the shop we always get funny people calling. Whether it be questions or card messages, everyday there is a laugh. So this is the - "CALL OF THE DAY"!
This lady calls and proceeds to tell me that someone had sent her flowers on Monday from our shop. She goes on telling me where the people are from and what the arrangement was. Then she says "But now I am finding that some of the flowers are starting to turn brown." "If I bring them in will you replace them for me?". Almost laughing at this point, I ask her if the flowers were in a vase or arranged in foam. When she tells me that it was a foam arrangement I go on to say that the foam arrangement won't last quite as long if not watered. The caller then says, "Well I believe that the people who sent these to us planned on us enjoying them for a few weeks." By this point a am in shock that a grown adult truely believed that fresh cut flowers would last a few weeks. And anyone who knows me well is shocked that I haven't make any sacastic-slightly rude comments...I really had to bite my tongue!!!! I go on to politly tell her that next year if she wants to enjoy something through the entire month she should probably go with a plant. She ends the conversation with, "So, I shouldn't be disappointed?" To which I respond "Well, I guess you can be whatever you want. But the flowers will still die." People crack me up!

Playing dReSs uP @ Grammy's
My mom just developed a new roll of film.(that's right, I said "developed") And these were some of the pictures that I found. I swear! you never know what happens when you leave your kids with relatives! Once I got a picture mail when my sister was watching Avi, when she was a babe, & she was decked out in a Build-A-Bear cheerleader outfit. Anyway...Enjoy!
My Pretty Polka Dot Princess
Here are just a few pics from Avi's 1st Birthday party. If you couldn't tell, the theme was polka dots. I know that there are no pictures of her eatting her cake... that's because she didn't. Her Uncle Breck tried to put her hat back on after it fell off & I guess he hurt her feelings. She didn't stop crying until I took her out of her seat & she didn't even want her cake.

Happy biRthDay AVI...the BIG 1!
I can't believe how time flies!!! I know that that is so cliche, but it is just so true! One year ago today our family was blessed with one of the sweetest little girls that I have ever know. And I feel so lucky that she is mine. She is definatley not a baby anymore though... she is a dimple wearing, sparkly eyed, red headed, 6 tooth, skooting around, spit fire of a 1 year old!! Giving her older brother more of a run for it every day! We just love you so much Ave's!! And we can't imagine our lives without you.

Now THAT'S a sHiNeR!!!
Tonight Beckham, Quinn & my brother Brock went on a 4-wheeler ride. Beckham loves anything that goes fast. Well lets just say that they might have got going a little too fast. They were going over some "loopdy-loops"(big bumps) as Becks called them & when they came down, the handle bar just jumped up and got him right in the eye. Quinn said that he didn't cry too hard & that he just wanted to keep going. When they got home he must have asked me 20 times to look at his boo-boo in the mirror. He said it was just like on Doctor Daisy from Mickey Mouse Club House...for those who have kids. Anyway, he was pretty proud, & wanted to put it right on the computer to show Bobbi(grammy) Donna.

I'M A BIG BOY NOW!!!!
Well, after a couple of long nights... we are officially BINKY FREE!!! While Beckham was at school on Friday, I was making his bed & decided that enough was enough!!! I took his binky and cut the top off. When I went to pick him up I told him that they were broken. The first thing that he said was "Don't throw them away!!!" So that night he cried for a while telling me that I needed to get him a new one, but after a while(an hour and a half to be exact) he calmed down and fell asleep. By the next morning he said he wanted to throw them in the garbage. Followed by "I'n a BIG BOY...I not need dos anymore". Next is potty training!

HEY- What's Cookin'?
One of my friends in my recipe club told me that I should blog my recipes that I make each month. Hense the new segment...HEY- What's Cookin'? Every Sunday night I will Post a new digital recipe card. Some I have created myself and others from some of my digi friends. Hopefully you enjoy it & try some of them out. This Sunday I made shredded pork enchiladas with green sauce. This is the recipe for the pork. I just rolled it in corn tortillas with cheese, topped with canned green enchilada sauce &--more cheese, of course.

Better late than never!
So I know that I am a little late, but unfortunately my blog had to take a backseat to the store. But anyway... here are our pics from Halloween and October in general. The kids were Mickey & Minnie Mouse. Avi wouldn't keep her hat on, so I had to run out and buy a matching bow at the last minute.( for all that know me, that will come as no surprise). They both made a hawl and we only went to about 10 houses. Let's be honest, when you're this cute, people just give you what you want!
AND THE WINNER IS..... ME!!!!!
Can I just tell you all how excited I am. This morning I had to come to work early to do some funeral arrangements for George Osmonds funeral and I was listening to the radio. I know nothing new right? Then they started playing kind of a game called "Joe's List". Kind of like Craig's List. What would you trade for Garth Brooks concert tickets. So, I called and told them that I would trade the funeral arrangement that I had just made and stay to make another one, if they would give me the tickets. Long story short. They let me keep the arrangement and gave me a pair of tickets to the sold out concert in Kansas City... on MONDAY. And believe it or not, they are pretty good seat. Lower bowl 16Th row. Needless to say I am totally excited even though at the present time I have no idea how I will get there or where I will stay. I'll update ya later!!!
